Good anti-theft device.
Perfect for securing my bike.

Good solid lock that does what it advertises to do.
The lock does what it is supposed to do. The lock itself is easy to use. Am happy that the storage for the lock is easy to install. Does what it advertises.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Excellent lock, big, heavy and strong.
The lock works smoothly and feels very solid. It is large so you can secure your bike frame to a post or tree. While it is a large and heavy lock, it offers a high level of security for your bike.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Strong and easy to use in many situations.
Really a very nice lock. Been using it off and on for just under a year now. I also have a Kryptonite New York Fagettaboudit Mini next door. That lock is even a bit stronger. However, this Abus, because of its larger size, offers much better options for securing your bike properly at all times. I always struggle with that with the Fahgettaboudit. In addition, according to a German test, the Abus more than satisfies the standards for harmful substances (this again in contrast to the Fahgettaboudit, unfortunately). It comes with a very nice holder that you can install in two ways. For example, you can mount it perpendicularly under the top tube, or have it "indented" if you mount it on the side (e.g. rear fork) of the bike. It is worth paying attention to how you mount it, because the holder works very well and makes the lock even more pleasant to use. It is not very clear in the manual, but if you take your time, you can figure it out. Even with the different spacers to correct for different frame thicknesses, it takes some time to see what really fits best. The lock feels high quality and is very smooth to open and close. On the Fahgettaboudit this is not as smooth. It is not my intention to put the Fahgettaboudit in a bad light. It is a slightly different lock and very strong, but the Abus is nicer as an all-round lock, gives more flexibility in securing, and is more ergonomic because of the smooth operation and the holder.
